Special Orientation Plan

This plan must be developed in consultation with the Orientation Manager in the Staff and Patient Education Department prior to the employee starting to work. The Manager will assure that the employee does not work independently until he/she meets the minimum requirements to perform the job safely, including attending all mandatory orientation classes.

2. If the employee is missing mandatory classes, how will you meet the orientation requirements?   Specify the action plan for each mandatory class.
2a. Safety/IC (If the unit/department Trainer is training the new employee, this must be done within 1 week of hire):

Documentation that this employee’s orientation requirements were met must be sent to the Staff and Patient Education Department and Human Resources no later than 6 weeks after the employee’s start date. The employee must be scheduled for the next HCO.
